I was intrigued by picfor1000 -- it's a neat concept -- but passed since I only do one challenge a year and I'm seriously considering this year's remix, despite the fact the only fandom I have five stories in is Yami and that I only write 2-and-a-half fandoms total, but whatever. Go read randomeliza's The Blameless And The Wicked -- SGA but don't let that stop you;

You do have to come up with three fandoms, but it's much less risky than Yuletide, because Victoria does the matchups by hand rather than using an algorithm. Which means that people can and do submit signups that say, I really, really want to write X, no really, and I'll do my best with Y or Z if that's the only way you can make this work, sorry to be difficult and thanks for moderating this, which is a job I know I'm making harder. In fact, I'm pretty sure my signup said something like that last year, and I saw others that were even more piteous in their begging and pleading.

Also, while we'll have to wait for the signups to start rolling in to be sure, I bet that if you want Yami Victoria will take you up on it with cries of gratitude, because there will be more people offering it than asking to write it. And assuming I'm in, at least one participant won't be matchable in any other fandom. If you suspect I've spent an obsessive amount of time thinking this through, you'll be right: I'm going to be fretting myself over what other two fandoms to offer Just In Case. Somehow I don't think offering Meine Liebe is going to make anyone at all content. And I'm with you: picking up new characters is harder than all those fluent writers give it credit for.

And, thanks for the heads-up on the story. If that's all I need of SGA, I should be good to go.
