"I'm his son and his daughter...It's an odd relationship"

I'm not sure what I find so fascinating about this little clip of Colin talking about his role in "Prayer for my Daughter." But it's an interesting contrast to a lot of the Colin footage out there. I'd say also to note the too long fringe, but I don't think I'm willing to be that much of a fangirl.

But still wearing a hoodie! )

Very much the thinky type. And that's one of the things I like about him as an actor (and not just RPS fodder, though of course that too *g*). Usually Colin reads to me as so young--like 18 or 19--so it's nice to get some footage of him where he really comes across as early twenties.

very smooth

Always ;)

hmm, really? bradley always strikes me as the one who comes across as less mature [oh, i wonder why...]. hearing colin talk about his role there makes me want a serious interview about his take on merlin. i bet he has a lot to say.

Hmm. I guess it's not maturity level I mean. It's just... if someone showed me a typical clip of Colin I'd think he was a little younger than 22 or 23.

One of my favorite comments he's had about Merlin (I don't remember the source) is that he's such a passionate character: his heart is in the right place but his emotions get the better of him and that's why he doesn't always think things through. I really liked that idea, that explanation for some of the less than clever things Merlin does. And yeah it does make me wish there was an interview that focused more on the character than the show in general.

oh, okay, i see. hmm, yeah, i suppose. i find it difficult to tell if someone is 18 or 22--they look equally young to me.

aww, that makes so much sense for merlin!
