Castiel: Tremble by off-that-bridge
Insta!rec because this is the Castile vid I've been waiting for. The use of close-ups and the flickering light and the stark, jerky quality of the cuts is simply perfect. There is a desperate stillness here interrupted by small devastating motions. If every angel's terrible then why do you welcome them?

oh, i haven't seen the dean vid! i really like the first three vids, too. i think especially handlebars is unexpected and chilling because we are encouraged to read the doctor as a benevolent figure. but it's only a step from benevolence to paternalism.

have you seen "new frontier"? that's probably my favorite firefly vid. oh, and also "tear you apart."

Handlebars is chilling and the shift in perspective is so well done that it really does present the line drawing problem beautifully. At what point is it no longer benevolent?

And I don't think I've seen either of those Firefly vids. *goes off to poke the internet*

i was really blown away by it because i hadn't thought of the doctor from that pov before. it also reveals just how much power the doctor has at his disposal.

oh, let me link you! new frontier: http://www.heresluck.net/videos/index.html and tear you apart: http://bradcpu.livejournal.com/62250.html

David Tennant's doctor especially spends so much time being cheeky.

Thanks :)
