Day 1: We drive and drive and drive and drive. About 12 hours of total driving. We left just a little bit after I got home from work. I was supposed to sleep on the way there. Yeah that didn't really happen. I couldn't sleep at all until after we stoped for dinner and even then I was in and out of sleep. We stoped in Atlanta and ate at a Chilli's. The food was kinda cold and the waitress thought I said rice instead of fries. My dad asked her how far away the place in Georgia that we were spending the night was (I forget the name of the city). She told us an hour and it took 4 hours. We finally get to the hotel at about 10 and in about a half an hour I pass out.
Day 2: We get up about 6:30 get ready, eat breakfast, and drive for about 4 more hours. We arrive in Clearwater, FL just in time to go to the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Phittsburg Pirates game in Dunedin (About 15 mins. away). It was a nice little stadium. The Blue Jays played their stars (Glaus, Wells, and Overbay) for about the first six innings. Phittsburg's one star wasn't even playing. After the players left they stopped by the fence that was in front of the entrance to their locker room and signed autographs. I didn't want to get any autographs. We left after the 7th inning stretch. Later I found out the game ended up a tie. I ended up falling asleep about 9:30. I guess I still needed to catch up on sleep. Either that or I'm turning into an old man.
Day 3, So far: I woke up at about 6:30 again even though I didn't have to. I just woke up and couldn't fall back to sleep. We left Clearewater at about 10 and drove about an hour and a half to our hotel in Orlando. We then drove to Kissimmee to see the Houston Astros play the NY Mets. We bought tix from a scalper for 25 a piece. They were good seats though. They were almost directly behind the Mets dug out. This stadium was really nice for a minor league park. One of my fav. pitchers, Tom Glavin, pitched the first three innings for the Mets. Again both teams star players (There were actually too many to name in this game) played until around the 6th inning. We were around a bunch of Mets fans and one Astro fan that kept getting shit from the Mets fans for cheering for the Astros. I felt kinda bad for the guy. The Mets ended up winning 7 to 2. We stayed for the whole game.
Tomorow we are going to try to stay at a hotel on the beach and go to the Reds vs. Yankees game that night. Hopefully we can find a hotel and hopefully the game isn't sold out. Being a night game and a Yankees game it might be sold out. Its nice, warm and sunny here. I love this weather. Thats all for now. I'll update some other time during the trip. Have a great day everyone.
