PRIME WEEKEND - THURSDAY
I’ll not tell you all about my travels to the con - other than I nearly missed the stop as I was asleep.
I arrived at the Norbrek around 530pm. Went and checked out my room. Wasn’t a bad room. It was a good size. But I discovered that’s cos it was a disabled room. They even gave me a phone with big numbers lol which caused much amusement all weekend.
I got texts from Lou & Naomi - Tom Lenk wasn’t coming to the convention cos of problems with his passport. I was GUTTED!! Jonathan Woodward had the same problem but I wasn’t too bothered about him.
Then I went to meet Lola, Kat and Naomi who were selling photo tickets. It was great to see them all. They all looked wonderful and gave me loads of nice comments which are always welcome!
Then I went to the gym. It wasn’t bad. It was full of fit-freaks though which made me feel all lazy. Though every morning after that it was fine cos it was full of old people who made me feel energetic.
I went to reception to ask for an iron, and they couldn’t understand me. I was shouting CAN I HAVE AN IRON? but they didn’t understand me. So I had to put on an English accent. It was embarrassing.
Then I ran into Claire! Claire rocks!!!
Later I met up with Lola, Nai and Kat and we all headed into Blackpool on the tram (my first time on a tram!). They got fish & chips. Then we went to a shop and I bought some rock and fudge for the people at work (I was gonna buy them willy rocks - they were so gross! They even had veins and everything!). Then we all went to the arcades and had loads of fun. I set a new record in the bashing game thing … which about 2 minutes later was beaten by Kat. Lou and I went on the dance machines. I fucking love the dance machines!!! Think we had 6 dances, and it was a draw. But there will be a re-match in October and I will kick her ass!!!!
We then raced on the cars (I came 2nd - damn you Lola!!) and the motorbikes (we looked so Girls Aloud in the Wake Me Up video lol). And played on the bashing machines some more. And I played the basketball machine. And Nai got her fudge and rock stolen.
We were exchanging out tokens that we won off the machines, and I decided to get a magnet for Valerie cos Valerie collects magnets, and the girl said I could have another one for free. She so wanted me! :-p lol
Me, Lola, Kat & Nai then walked about Blackpool laughing at the funny lights (there was one of Fern & Philip from This Morning - how random!!). It was a good laugh. I love those 3 dudes so much. I don’t get to see them enough!!
And then it was bedtime.
