Yea- so it's been about two weeks since I've written in this thing. Time really does fly. Like birds.
Anyway, today was stellar. This wasn't even because we (as in the group) did anything earth-shattering, but because of the fact we did just the opposite. Katie, Catey, Laurie, Lindsay, Sophie, Eric, Ory, Peter and I just layed out on the Centennial Quad for about 4 hours. And why not? It was a gorgeous 70 degree day. In March no less! Some people arrived late, and some people left intermittently.. but there was always some sort of side-splitting comment to be said. We all took part on the ancient game of 'people watching'. Hmm.. somehow everybody seems to win. Is it bad that we had a comment for everyone? Noo.. it just shows how creative we all are with our words. Duh. Plus, I think I may have actually gotten some color.. *wishful thinking*.. seriously doubt that.
It was just an awesome time hanging out with people you enjoy.. in short sleeves.
Uhmm.. what else? I sang kareoke the other night. I'm hooked. I sang that old Human League song "Don't You Want Me".. and yes, the male and the female verses. In addition, with a British accent- because that's how the origial was sung. So what if I sound like someone with a prostate / drinking problem when I sing.. it's all in good fun.
That day of silence didn't work. I kind of used it to my advantage in classes, but not so much when I saw people. I wore the shirt, you're lucky ya got that outta me.
I've seen Lindsay every night right as I walk into the gym, and as she's leaving. We really should work on that whole timing aspect.. I'm just rambling at this point.
Ohh.. Kate and I had our weekly chat on Tuesday, and I made plans to go back to LA in August.. possibly even in June for a camping adventure. That'd be slammin. Let's hope this all goes according to plan. Ya know what I just realized- the word accord. It's French meaning agreement, so I was hoping everything agreed to the plans. Huh.. epiphany.
Laurie and I watched 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' last night. I liked Bebe Neuwirth's performance. I'll give the flick that.. and only that. Then I made her watch some 'Top Gear'. My word, I do love that show more than I should. Oh well, there are unhealthier obsessions out there. That's right Bri.. find the silver lining in the mushroom cloud.
