Some of you know that I'm massively behind on my TV Watch List. The Big Important Things (Doctor Who and Sherlock) have been watched, obviously. Other things have been allowed to slide somewhat - so in a vague attempt to shame myself into actually catching up on some of these things ... Big List Time!
But first: an amusing Fail moment. I looked at
this picture last night. I swear to God the text on it read "Well, that was delicious." Which, you know, confused the hell out of me at the time. It ... makes a lot more sense now that I've learned to actually read. XD
(I've linked some of you to that tumblr before. I actually love reapersun's Sherlock art. Check the rest out, there are some hilarious comic-strip-y ones and lots of silly ones and lots of shippy ones, so yes.)
In no particular order (but split into vaguely-current stuff and older stuff):
Merlin - S4 eps.9-13.
Hawaii Five-0 - S2 ep.7 onwards (to 16 currently)
Glee - S3 ep.7 onwards (to 13 currently)
Misfits - S3 eps.3-8.
Being Human - S2 ep.1 onwards (I don't even know where we're up to with this now ...)
Mad Dogs - S1 ep.1/possibly all of it? (This is on the list for Phil Glenister, John Simm & Marc Warren; I know nothing else about it but I feel I should give it a go.)
Warehouse 13 - S3 ep.6 (?) onwards (to S3 ep.13)
Heroes - S3 ep.1 onwards (to S4 ep.18 AKA The End.) (I have seen up to S3 ep.13 but I can't remember this series at all.)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer - S2 ep. 19 onwards (to S7 ep.22 AKA The End.)
Wallander (BBC) - all of it
Ashes To Ashes - all of it
Stargate: Universe - all of it (though I have seen S1 before, it's worth a re-watch <3)
Amusingly (to me, anyway), when you go to the BBC's website for Wallander, there's a 'You might also like ...' section. One of the two programmes in it is Sherlock. (The other is Birdsong, though what a historical war drama has to do with modern-day (?) crime drama, other than drama (obviously), kind of baffles me ...)
... Wallander joined the list mainly because of Tom Hiddleston. He was in War Horse and Thor and is obscenely pretty don't judge me because I'm shallow I really do like crime drama, I do.
This is all complicated by the fact that Mum and Dad both watch Merlin so I have to watch that with them, and the same will be true when we get around to Ashes To Ashes. Dad doesn't mind if he misses Stargate: Universe (though he likes it), but Mum does. Dad won't watch Wallander (according to Mum), and Mum won't watch Misfits. So I have to see which parents are available/not available and what they're (collectively) in e mood for (if any of it) before making a decision on which of those to watch. XD (Of course, I have to get hold of Wallander first ...)
Once I get started on the Heroes, it'll go fast because I think I am actually incapable of watching one single episode. It has to be at least two in a sitting. More likely five or so. :P Same with Stargate: Universe (which I also watch with my Mum, at least two eps. at a time). We'll probably end up watching those Merlin eps. all together after tea over the course of a week - unless there's a brutal cliffhanger, in which case ... well, you get the picture. As a family, we like mainlining our TV!crack on occasion. :P
Can't really speak for the others. Dad and I can get through a couple of eps. of Misfits at a time, but it depends on what Mum's up to. Glee and Hawaii Five-0 I watch by myself, and it really depends on what mood I'm in and whether there's a cliffhanger. :P (Needless to say, I am dying to find out what happens in the next episode, because - coincidentally - in both those shows, the last episode I saw ended on a cliffhanger and I had no choice but to stop and wait for more episodes!)
So. Way more about my TV-watching habits than anyone ever wanted to know, I'm sure. ;)
There might be squeeposts, there might not. If you follow me on Twitter, you'll definitely know when I've seen certain things because I can't contain myself over there. Not that that's a recommendation to do so, at all. :/
EDIT: Don't mind me, updating this post as more things I need to watch occur to me randomly ...
