Happy Halloween, Flist!
In honour of the occasion, I attempted to do some kind of Celtic-knotwork-style Halloween drawing. It came out less Celtic-knotwork-y than I originally intended (I did try; it didn't look right), but I think it looks kind of cool.
I like to think of the Pumpkin as Ooga-Booga-Bob's evil cousin.* (Or something, anyway.) Decide for yourself whether those vines/roots/tentacles are going to stroke the cat, or drag it into the Pumpkin's mouth, scratching and yowling, to be eaten ... :P
Originally, there was going to be a creepy house in the background, but it made the whole thing look cluttered. I was going to colour it, but I ran out of time. Boo. Also: I'm irrationally proud of that lantern, and how the cat came out. (She's a girl. In my head, she's called Phantom, because of her (unintentional) Phantom-of-the-Opera-mask-like facial markings.)
* For those of your not In The Know: Ooga-Booga-Bob was, basically, a Harry Potter OC I created on a whim for a comic once. He was a magically animated pumpkin, and he was adorable. He fell in love with Snape. (I still think he's the best OC I've ever created. XD)
Have a fantastic, spooky Halloween, everybody!
And to all those doing NaNo: Good Luck starting at midnight, guys. I'm sodding scared, I'm telling you ...
