Art: Pointless Pointilism

OK, so. The cold that I thought I was getting over? I wasn't. It got worse last night, and this morning I felt so crap that I just ... stayed in bed until 1pm. :( It wasn't fun. I tossed and turned and couldn't get comfy and couldn't breathe and got too hot and then get too cold ... It wasn't nice.

However. I now have a lovely cold glass of Coka Cola - and, boy, do I owe that company a great debt. Seriously, cola is the one thing that apparently soothes my throat and makes it possible for me to breathe. Thanks, Coka Cola. <3

Anyway. The real point of the post is this: over the past couple of days, while I've been chatting to may parents on the phone at night, I've been doodling. But not just doodling - doodling in dots. I like the results, so I thought I'd share them. :)

Sorry the first two are on lined paper (lined W.H.Smiths crappy paper, actually), but they did start out as just doodles. In case anyone cares, they were drawn with Staedtler 'triplus fineliner' pens, and then lightly coloured with Staedtler 'Power' coloured pencils. I don't know where the images came from, they just popped into my head.

First up: The Cliff.
This is the first one I drew, and possibly my favourite. It actually came out a lot like the image in my head (for once). :D

Next: The Beach.
I do quite like this, but I messed up the sky. (Who cares that the sky technically looks paler down on the horizon, and gets bluer the further up you look - it looks wrong in this image. D:) I do like how the sea came out, though. :)

Finally: Space-Scape.
This is probably the result of having Sci-Fi on the brain. (Namely Red Dwarf.) I do like how most of it came out, but I'm not impressed with the big red planet or the sun. *shrug* Nevermind. I do love my little green spacecraft, though, and the purple planet, so that balances it out.

And that's it for now. So. It's now 3pm, and I really, really, really need to make a start on my essay. (ARGH, five days to write 3K on Brynhild and make it actually good, HOW CAN I DO IT?! *major flaily moment* Seriously, though, I feel too crap to do anything, let alone a serious essay. *sadface*)

Right. *pours another glass of cola* Let's get to it ...
