Life with cats is so... interesting... so there I am, perched on the corner of the bed with my magazine and a dish of pudding--butterscotch, no less!--and the cat jumps onto the nearby desk, turns my way, and begins to sneeze. Eeeep!
So I said to him, "Don't sneeze in my pudding," and he obligingly turned away and stopped sneezing.
And then yanno, the utter WEIRDNESS of it struck me. How many people have had occasion in this life to say such a thing? Has it ever even OCCURRED to anyone to say such a thing? Can one even calculate the ODDS of saying such a thing?
I suppose this is kinda what Jean Kerr felt when she placed a centerpiece on the table and then had to say to her children before dinner guests arrived, "Please don't eat the daisies."
She got a best-seller and national fame out of it all those years ago, but somehow I am none too certain there is a national best-seller in sneeze-free pudding... *big eyes* lol...
