Fanart first.
I'm very annoyed with this one. She started out very well--I love love love the hair, esp. the braid--but her left eye (the one on her left, our right) is a tad too high and the wand just a tad too low and her nose is just...ealrgh. But yes, she is supposed to be that skinny. I do like her dress, though. For some reason my Luna always wears dresses. I kind of want her to start wearing funky unmatched bright colors and patterns, though, so maybe next time she'll be a bit loonier looking.
Yes, this'd be my version of Daphne Greengrass, who nobody but
_____faith pays attention to anyways. She's good friends with Tracey Davies (yes, Davies, not Davis--my Tracey is Roger's little sis) and Pansy Parkinson, even though the two hate each other, and has been seeing Theodore Nott since the summer after sixth year. I'm not sure if this is the face I'll be sticking with (I kind of want her nose to be bigger, even though she usually looks like a drag queen when I do that), but this is the hair I've been giving her since OotP came out. Roughly shoulder length, brown, with bangs and often a headband.
I'm not sure which of the many platinum blonde females this is, but it's between a young Narcissa and Gabrielle Delacour. Not Fleur. She doesn't have that haugtiness about her, or the veela allure. You'll notice a bit of orangey yellow on her jaw--that's because I accidentally grabbed the wrong pencil. Eek. Anyway, if you think it looks especially like either of them, tell me which, please!
Now original art. Whee.
Err. I'm not sure I like this or not. I think I'd like to draw it again with the same characters in the same positions, but with significant changes to their faces, because they don't look quite how I picture them. And something has to be done to Alys's back, and maybe neck. Definitely a more direct gaze for her, too.
Yes, my first guy posted. Woo. His hair annoys me, thanks to that over-one-eye thing everybody does nowadays that was not intentional in the least, but I'm glad he actually looks male. And he's thick enough to look like he's supposed to neck- and jaw-wise, though the lips seem a little pouty to me. That said, let's move on to Tacey, shall we? This is my favorite drawing of her thus far. Her expression suits her personality perfectly, especially in regards to West. And I like the idea of adding a bit of blue/purple to her hair. I think I'll draw a cleaner version of this for the Lovers prompt for
oc_art100.
She looks quite a bit older than I meant for her to, and her face still isn't right, but I love her hair and eyes and lipcolor. I think I'll be adding a bit more black to the shirt and using it for the Black prompt, so consider this a work in progress.
Must sleep now. Big day tomorrow. Later.
