[She is sitting on a bench, reading a book. As usual. Which is not quite usual is someone tunneling underneath the bench from behind her legs to emerge before her.
[he stands, patting some dirt off his clothes and muttering to himself]
Interesting... not one bench had gum stuck to the bottom.
[and then he feels the girl's eyes on him. He turns to stare back in her face - can he see her name? He's noticed that, while there are some people whose names he can still read, all of them have question marks for lifespans, and the majority of townspeople are blanks. His eye power only works on humans. Could they really be a bunch of automatons?
He doesn't care much if she has any feelings about him crawling under her skirt though.]
[Though not a drone, Yuki is fairly close to an automaton herself. Her own individual life span... is possibly an incomprehensible series of lengthy numbers reflecting the total lifespan of every individual comprising the Integrated Data Sentient Entity. Either that, or it may simply be indecipherable. Regardless, her creepy stare continues. She isn't so much concerned by the skirt business than she is about atypical human patterns of behavior that she may learn from.]
[he had found a stack of his business cards in the study in his house. He figured, as long as he was wearing makeup, he may as well go by that identity. The person that was "Beyond Birthday" would exist when it was convenient, but for now, he would continue to be Ryuzaki.
He takes out his wallet, pulling out one of the aforementioned business cards. It's black, and according to it, his name is "Rue Ryuzaki" and he is a "Detective." He offers it to Yuki.]
[Yuki will take the card for a moment or two and look at it. Then back up at Beyond Birthday. Then back down at the card. After a few more silent moments, she will pocket the business card.]
[he'll bow, now that he's gotten the card thing out of the way... and that he's remembered to. That completed, he rises back into a hunched standing position. Although he has his doubts, since her lifespan was even less readable than usual, she appears to be wearing a Japanese school uniform. She's out of the ordinary for this place.]
I assume that, apart from being a student, you are a fellow abductee of this town. Is that correct?
[ "Previous conversation?" He certainly doesn't remember having met a person like this before, and his memory is supposed to be perfect. He'd like to believe she is just making things up. But he'll play along to see what she wants. He shrugs his already hunched shoulders and replies in an easy voice]
Of course, Nagato. However, I can see you are driving at something to the contrary. If you have something to tell me, please feel free.
[Each and every day of the past few months had been carefully planned, all leading up to the ultimate checkmate in the game between B and L. It's preposterous to think that he had been anywhere else. ]
....She stares.]

[that was quite a stare.]
Oh, pardon me. The name is Ryuzaki.

That assumption is correct.

I wish to assume something as well. You do not recollect our previous conversation. Correct?

You believe that you have only recently arrived in Mayfield. Correct?

[She will return her gaze to her book.]
You had offered useful information during your previous stay.

[...hmm. Well, it's not like it sounds out-of-character for him or anything.]
Well, as it turns out, I'm in the process of gathering information. If it's no trouble, you could return the favor.
