Oops, I have it disabled? I can fix that... but anyway, I don't mind the sock.
Maybe you will think it's a stretch, but I decided that B would be a fan of manga and anime since he seemed to have a lot of fanboy knowledge on Akazukin Chacha - I think that the copies he left at the crime scene were his own copies, since it would then make perfect sense for why he dusted every finger print of every book (they wouldn't be able to tell that some of the books weren't the victim's.) However, even if his parents are Japanese in my headcanon, I don't think B lived in Japan for very long at all, and Akazukin Chacha was never popular in England or the USA, so he'd be kind of an otaku then for knowing all about it. So with that in mind, and also the fact that there isn't much known about B's life when he isn't pretending to be L, made me think it was okay to include the otaku side in my headcanon.
As for FMA specifically, in B's intro-post I mentioned that I thought he liked manga, and so then, most manga from the late 80s - 2002 would be fair game. FMA came out in 2001, and was quite popular.
Still, I wasn't outright planning on having him be a fan of that canon, but in the intro-post I asked if anyone would like to be recognized, and Ed-mun spoke up saying he thought it to be likely. I've also cleared it with Roy mun, who was fine with it, and Al mun is a friend of mine.
However, if it is still an annoyance, I can try to breeze over that detail from now on. Basically, it's the result of me reading WAY between the lines, which I tend to do with this character to give him more life.
