I'm between a House appointment and going home right now . . . I promised Draco I would spend tomorrow with him. There is so much more work involved in this position than I had ever expected - not more than I can handle, of course, and the extra little bit of money covers the work.
The sheer paperwork alone takes several hours to complete, but then so did marking when I first began. Like everything else, I expect the faster I get used to it, the faster I will move through the work.
It will be a relief to hold Draco tonight, and see Pansy tomorrow. Winter holidays are close and getting closer, and the respite will be welcome, although I know that I'll miss the kids something terrible by the time it ends.
Next weekend I'm spending all of Saturday at the Burrow - it will be nice if we can get the whole family together again.
And even with the terrible news about the election, I don't think I've ever been happier.
