oh, california...i count the days til i see thee again
that spring break was hella chill.
did a whole lotta tv-watchin', home-cooked-food-eatin', and fresh-air-breathin' and not too much else, but it was amazing. i went for runs/[walks after i got a stress fracture] in old fair oaks in the morning, ate cereal and watched ER...waited for the car all day...and then ate a frickin delicious dinner every night. annnd i actually got to see claire, hilla, and adora AND the USD girls! and lindsey puckett: it was nice catchin up with you.
i got maybe a lil too much quality family time. but it was kinda fun. i think john and i were...bonding? i drove him around all weekend and walked him into a rated-R movie which was hilarious since he looks older than me now. i watched "powder" [skiing] videos with him. we joked around. we discussed music. he,abby, and i harmonized with the beach boys on the way home from dinner at zeldas....
it actually was really fun. i forget why we used to hate each other, and why it took us so long to get over it.
hanyway, i dont know if going home was good or bad. i do feel refreshed...but that sunshine kinda kicked my mind into summer gear. GOD, PLEASE GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO DO WORK FOR 1.5 MORE MONTHS.
and as my taxi drove into the city i rolled down the window and looked up at the empire state building and i realized how lucky i am to live in the 2 best places ever. like...NEW YORK CITY. it really is the center of the universe.
