QUARTER CENTURY!!!
Yep, tomorrow is my birthday. Thursday 24th of March 2005. I was thinking of posting something along the lines of a list of things I've achieved in my 25 years on this planet, and then realised I could effectively do that by not posting at all. So I decided to just crap on instead :P
I have a new job now, working with a guy I was working with in 1997/98 after I left school. It's still IT, but now we're specialising in something that's gonna make us millions. I'm finding myself looking forward to mornings, enjoying being at work all day despite being out and about between 8am and 7pm most days, and appreciating my weekends. My weekdays no longer run into my weekends and then back into my weekdays. It's awesome :D
I've also decided I'm happy - and indeed better off - being single. I'm in absolutely no rush to get into a relationship. The fact of the matter is, I don't have time for a woman in my life. Of course if the right one came along now, I'd do something about it, but that's a damn big if. Or if I look at it from another perspective, it could be just my luck that now I'm really not looking, something will drop into my lap. *ponders* Naaaaah!
Hmm, what else can I bore any unsuspecting victims readers with?...
I'll be moving out of "home" and into my own space by July this year. That's the plan, and the plan is good. I say my own space because that's what it's really all about. The moving out and getting my own place isn't really about the place, but more the space. At this stage it's looking like I'll have to rent, but hopefully things will improve with work and I'll be able to seriously look at buying. Probably won't be anything more than a 2-bedroom apartment, but it's more than I have now. You're all invited to my house warming party.
My younger sister, Amanda is overseas now. All things going to plan, she'll be there until the end of this year at the earliest, or January 2006 at the latest. All things going nothing like the plan indicates, she'll be home by the end of April this year ;o) In all honesty I don't miss her just yet. I'm fairly certain that'll be setting in by late April, maybe May. It's her birthday in early May, so it could prove to be very strange to not have her here for her birthday for the first time. We'll see how that goes when the time comes.
Some of the places I've been working the past few weeks have one or more sexy women working there. Now that's something I was guaranteed never to be able to enjoy whilst working for the family business! :P And Roula the work experience girl doesn't count - Amanda knows who I'm talking about - coz she was a girl, not a woman.
Well I've certainly crapped on for a post that apparently couldn't exist. Oh that's right, we haven't been talking about the last 25 years. More like the last 25 days, or thereabouts. Here's to looking forward :o)
