Pushing the Delorean Matrix through the Trousers of TARDIS

Me, I'm a book-fandom person. If it's got a movie, too: cool; it gives ideas for visuals. But I usually shy away from television-series fandoms; I prefer a fandom that I can keep track of in my own time, and rewind and reread if needed. Besides, I rarely watch TV at a regular hour. There isn't one in the dorm room.

There have been a couple shows I've tried to keep up with: Animorphs, - I'd read the books first - Firefly, - it looked like an interesting concept - but neither lasted long. But Applegate's first (and second) series are downstairs on the bookshelf and I just rented Serenity. Both fandoms offer a good old fashioned love/hate relationship for me.

And tonight, the DW initials have become confusing for a fandom of my choice. Discworld is love. It will remain love for quite some time. But despite the rather silly mannequin zombies with a new interpretation of the word "handgun," and use of that toxic song in the second episode, Dr. Who appears quite shiny. Not in the least of which because it kept my brother interested, too. (And was I the only one who thought of The Luggage when Rose's boyfriend was attacked by the dumpster?) Perhaps there is something to these television fandoms. Insta-MST/meta discussions, anyway...

misscam, you know I fully blame/credit you. ;)
