care

sometimes
it hurts my heart
to care
it hurts my heart
very much

but it is still right
to care
and it is still true
to care
and
it is real life
and
it is love

so
even though it hurts
my heart
to care
even though
sometimes
it hurts very much
I will not give up

I will care

I was trying to think of a verse the other day, but I couldnt remember it. It says something to the effect of, "for who is so wise that he could offer god council". Any guesses?

The closest I can find is in Job 38 where God speaks to Job for presumptuously questioning His ways:

1Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm. He said:
2“Who is this that darkens my counsel
with words without knowledge?
3Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer me.
4“Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.

God then goes on to explain myriad things he does that are beyond the understanding of man.
Probably not what you were thinking of, but my best shot.
I hope you are well and pursuing good with your body, heart, mind and soul.

Not the one I was looking for, but enlightening nonetheless.

I am trying to pursue that which is good. Its often an unclear or uneasy path.

You must be excited with Jesse's impending marriage.

Good is at least as slippery as our want and will.
Yes indeed, the upcoming marriage of Jesse does bring much joy to my heart.
I have much good hope for him and his bride.
In case you have even the least interest, there has been a pretty good college group meeting at Paul's house off Grove on Tuesday nights. From what I hear, they have been getting about 15 young adults out and have been experiencing discussions laden with meaning, hope and truth. Of course this Tuesday Paul, 35 high schoolers and I are off to Mexico to build homes for the poor. But the week after that it should be back in full swing.
