Notes/Warnings: Fantasy school au is hopefully close enough to high school au that your prompted! ^^:; Also there is some talk about weight.

He never considered himself a very apt potions student, that was more in Dongwoo's realm of expertise. It to a kind of meticulous thinking and obsession with precision that Jinyoung just didn't possess but it was a class he was expected to complete in order to graduate as a junior warlock.

He needed to become a junior warlock in order to achieve his dream of becoming a real Wizard and ruling over the council of six. It was so many years down the line but Jinyoung could see the path shining brightly before him, only the black splotch called potions blocked his way.

No one even used potions in real day-to-day life. Jinyoung had seen the rickety shops the professor's sent them to pick up supplies at. He was pretty sure the only reason potions retailers were still in business was because of the school. There were much simpler and quicker ways to make a pimple or a weed disappear than a potion. Even the ungifted would sooner hire a warlock to rid them of their mundane issues than seek a potion.

Jinyoung would blame his failures up to this day on the seedy potions shop he bought his supplies at. For his final he needed to create a potion that would essentially be an instant weight loss potion. It was designed in theory to simply melt the fat off a person. It had been tested by experts and proven to work as intended, though they strongly advised either outdoor use or preparing a room with plastic sheeting and a small pool to stand in.

He chose this particular potion because he was not fat himself so the mess he would make during his demonstration would be very minimal. Jinyoung thought it slightly crazy they were expected to demonstrate the effectiveness of their potion on their very own person but he supposed it made some sense. No need accidentally harming others when it turned out you mixed the ingredients incorrectly.

The school's potion's profession touted that the school had never seen a death due to a botched potion demonstration, but that didn't mean people didn't leave the final scarred or disfigured.

Jinyoung held his breath as he added in the final ingredient, a wisp of humanity. Humanity was needed to make sure the potion would work for the intended target. And it would make it as harmless as water should someone accidentally feed it to a pet or dump it out where wildlife could get their mouths on it.

After adding the humanity Jinyoung sat back to watch the color, and thankfully for him he had sat back because the potion suddenly started bubbling and boiling. The room quickly filled with steam and Jinyoung coughed, waving his hand in front of his face muttering, "No no no no no!"

There was a loud POP which knocked Jinyoung back off his stool and onto the floor, and then the room was quiet.

"What'd I do wrong?" Jinyoung asked the room as he massaged his sore backside and waited for the smoke to clear out. He waved his hand impatiently at the fan to turn it on. The smoke was quickly sucked up and out of the room and what Jinyoung saw when it had cleared nearly made him fall right back onto the floor.

On the table where the potions set had been, which now lay broken, glass dangerously glinting in the florescent lighting, was a boy. The boy was naked and crouched down into a ball hugging his knees.

The boy looked up and to JInyoung's surprise he saw himself in those eyes. Well, almost himself, it was like he took his reflection from a funhouse mirror. The boy had longish sandy brown hair, small almond shaped eyes, and plump lips. The boy had plump everything really. He was Jinyoung with flesh on his bones instead of just the skin Jinyoung had.

And he was completely forbidden. No warlock was to ever create life. Though Jinyoung had accidentally created the boy, he still might be imprisoned. It was not a crime the council of six took lightly. Apparently some evil idiot back in the day used corpses from a cemetery near his home to create an army of undead. The man had taken of his hometown and all the nearby farmland before the council could get Wizards to come exterminate the man and his abominations.

"Who are you?" The boy on the table asked, and slightly uncurled himself from the tight ball he had been keeping. "Where am I?"

Jinyoung looked at the boy and could not think of a single thing to say. His mind raced with possibilities, how had he created a chubby boy from a weight loss potion? Dongwoo had even helped him buy his supplies and checked all the formulas with him. He should have insisted that Dongwoo stay with him while he made his potion. Rules be damned, he obviously needed the supervision.

"Hey, guy, I asked a question! Who are you? Where am I?"

Jinyoung nervously rubbed his neck, afraid to even look the boy in the eye. "Uh, sorry, I'm Jinyoung and you're--"

"Junghwan, nice to meet you. Any chance you have some clothes I could wear?" Junghwan said cheerily. He looked down at himself and back at JInyoung, "Or I guess know anyone who has some clothes I could wear? Ahaha I don't think we're the same size."

"Well, we're at the school so I don't have any spares." Jinyoung replied. "Just let me call my friend quick. Stay right there. Don't move, okay?"

"There's glass on this table, you bet your ass I'm getting my naked ass off this dangerous thing!"

Junghwan hopped off the table and set about to moseying around the room, peering into cabinets and poking at beakers. Jinyoung couldn't think strong enough to call Dongwoo while standing in that miserable room with the strange boy he created so he quickly walked out into the hallway, firmly shutting the door behind him. He hoped Junghwan wouldn't break anything (more) while he was away.

Dongwoo! Dongwoo, I need your help right now. I made a mess, bring clothes!

Dongwoo's reply seemed to take forever to arrive. I don't even want to know. What clothes do you want me to bring, your closet is the biggest mess I've ever seen.

Not my clothes, your clothes. My clothes won't fit. Jinyoung tried really hard to make sure his secret didn't go out over the air to mingle with the thousands of other thoughts floating around. He never knew who might snatch a thought out of the air and it would be far too silly for him to get caught from something as easy to avoid as that.

Okay. Was Dongwoo's only reply. JInyoung let out a breath he was holding and let some of his worry fall off his shoulders. Dongwoo would know what to do. He was the honor student after all. He would figure out the how and why of Junghwan. Then they would figure out how to get rid of Junghwan.

Though the moment Jinyoung thought that a knife of guilt seemed to stab him. It wasn't Junghwan's fault he was alive now. It would akin to murder to get rid of him now. Maybe they could make up a backstory for Junghwan and keep him.

But he wasn't a cat or a dog, they couldn't keep a human as a pet. Jinyoung smacked his forehead repeatedly.

A knock on the other side of the door made Jinyoung jump, he quickly opened it and stuck his head in the crack. "What do you want?" he asked, surprised at the annoyance in his voice.

However the naked Junghwan just smiled back at him. "Oh, just wanted to know why you thought I was like a cat or a dog."

"You! YOU READ MY MIND!?" Jinyoung shouted. He pushed Junghwan back and slammed the door behind him so that they were both in the potions experiment room. "What -"

Jinyoung stopped, his question about what Junghwan was floated out of his head. The room was cleaner than even when Jinyoung had arrived hours earlier. The glass and spilled ingredients were all back in their original shapes. Nothing was broken anymore. He looked at Junghwan. And only thought, You did this?

"Yep! Figured I made such a mess when I arrived that it was only right that I put things back as they were." Junghwan smiled again, his smile so wide his gums shown and all his little teeth met up perfectly straight. It was frankly the most perfect smile Jinyoung had seen.

"Thanks! I'm glad you like my smile, I like smiling a lot." Junghwan said, not abashed in the least for blatantly digging around in Jinyoung's thoughts.

"That's rude, you know." Jinyoung said, and mentally put up a shield in his mind. No one read minds so effortlessly as Junghwan did apparently so Jinyoung added a second layer to his shield. But in society it was strictly frowned upon to read thoughts that weren't sent to you.

"Ahh, sorry, where I come from it is much easier to think to one another than it is to speak. I'll try to be more courteous. I had wondered why you were not receiving my thoughts when I arrived. I was worried I arrived in a time and place that had no mental abilities!"

"Where you come from?" Jinyoung asked, suddenly curious what Junghwan could mean. He thought he had made him but perhaps it was something else entirely. In which case he could live his life without fear of life imprisonment.

Junghwan tilted his head at Jinyoung a look of confusion upon his cute face. "You're the one that summoned me, why don't you know the answers to these questions already?"

"Summon..." Jinyoung's mouth dropped open, only in fairy tales do people summon creatures.

Dongwoo walked in at that exact moment. His eyebrows scrunched together behind his thick rimmed glasses when he saw the naked Junghwan.

"Ahh your friend!" Junghwan smiled and raced over to where Dongwoo still stood by the door. "Are those for me?" he asked, pointing at the bag Dongwoo held loosely in his hand.

"Thanks!" Junghwan said, not waiting for Dongwoo to reply, and snatched the bag and quickly set about to putting the clothes on.

Dongwoo finally seemed to find his tongue, "Who is this?"

"Junghwan."

"And why is he naked?"

"He's the mess."

Dongwoo's eyebrows shot up his forehead, his eyes widening in shock. "Don't tell me you, made him!"

Junghwan laughed from where he was seated on the floor tying on the shoes Dongwoo had brought. The pants were a little too long so he had folded them up and they seemed to be a little tight around his waist. The shirt seemed to fit better than the pants, and was only tight over the chest area. Dongwoo's wide shoulders seemed to be a blessing for the shirts he wore were usually larger sizes.

"I was not made. Don't be silly."Junghwan said, still laughing. "I was summoned here by Jinyoung who obviously is a piss poor summoner."

Dongwoo stared at Junghwan, jaw slack. Jinyoung was pretty sure this was the only time that he had ever seen Dongwoo so completely flummoxed. The poor chap seemed about to fall over. If the situation wasn't so serious, Jinyoung would have made fun of Dongwoo's gaping mouth that resembled a fish out of water.

"Summoning isn't possible. It's a kid's story." Dongwoo said, slowly, as if he were trying to convince himself, not Junghwan of this.

Junghwan laughed again, and Jinyoung thought maybe that laugh would get on his nerves. "Yeah, it certainly does seem that the art has been lost. I waited a very long time to be summoned. Must have been..."

Junghwan paused, raising a hand and tapping his forehead. "around a thousand human years!"

"A thousand years?" Jinyoung and Dongwoo asked in unison.

Junghwan nodded, "It was so boring waiting. And I'm glad you're young Jinyoung so I get nearly a full human lifetime worth of time to be out."

"You're going to stay my whole life?" Jinyoung wanted desperately to wake up. Obviously he was dreaming a crazy dream where fairy tales come to life. Though fairies in the stories were always much, much smaller.

"Yep! Partners for life. You did add your humanity to the spell after all. As long as you live, I live."

"I need to sit down. " Jinyoung said, and slowly walked over to his stool. The very one he had fallen off just awhile before. The stool, like the table, was upright and looked better than it had before. The ingredients for his final potion were all setting out in neat little rows. He wondered where he had gone wrong, where Dongwoo had gone wrong. If it were possible to send Junghwan back.

"I guess you need a new potion." Dongwoo said, stepping up behind Jinyoung and laying a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah..."

Together they started the process of making the weight loss potion again. Junghwan watched with interest, adding a suggestion here or there, that when checked were the right options. An hour later they sat back and watched the potion bubble, slowly changing color from black to a pleasant pink.

"So this is what you were making when you summoned me." Junghwan said, after the potion had been bottled up and set carefully in his foam inlayed box. "I understand now why you were so confused. You only inverted the portions of humanity and toad spine."

Junghwan nodded to himself and smiled at Jinyoung, "But I'm glad you did, even a sloppy summon is better than no summon."

"I guess we better get another bed." Dongwoo said, sounding resigned. "He's staying in your room though."

Jinyoung passed his potions class, much to the amazement of the potions professor. The weight loss potion worked exactly as described, so much so that Jinyoung's pants fell off his hips and onto the floor. In front of the entire class too.

He could see Junghwan in the back of the room, bent over in laughter. And somehow that act alone took away his embarrassment. He knew it should make him feel worse to see someone laughing so heartily at his misfortune but he knew what type of person Junghwan was. And that laughter wasn't hurtful in the least.

Earlier that morning Junghwan had silently handed Jinyoung the antidote to his weight loss potion. Written in messy hand writing was Just in case plus I like you as you are now. Jinyoung had been touched by the thoughtfulness of the gesture. He knew Junghwan had to have stayed up late to prepare the potion for him.

Maybe with Junghwan's help, Jinyoung could become the Wizard he always wanted to be. The road ahead was long but it seemed wider now that it was made for two. Jinyoung bowed to the class and stepped deftly out of his pants now soggy with the fat slime he had expelled from his body.

He bounded up the steps and grabbed Junghwan's arm, pulling him from the room into the hall. "Thank you."

Junghwan stopped laughing once Jinyoung had dragged him along, but his face lit up again. "You're welcome partner. What shall create now?"

"The future."
