Thanksgiving

Wow. I can think of one word to describe my Thanksgiving trip to Colorado: stupendous. It was pretty amazing. Of course, that may be due to my incoherent state of mind right now, what with the 20 hour or so drive. But don't get me wrong, it's still good to be home. Just the smell of my house after being gone for a week is incredible. Hmmm.... I guess what I mean is that I wish I was both here and back in Colorado. Crazy I know, but both are awesome. It kind of feels like they're two different lives I have... I got to have a great time in a wintery log cabin with family and close family friends, which seems like something you would never want to leave, but now I'm exhilerated to be home and to be able to talk to my own great friends. Maybe I'm just thinking good about everything because I'm so exhausted right now... oh well, it's a good feeling.

Anyway, in more detail about the trip..... Sunday was the first day we weren't driving, and we pretty much explored what all the house had. Downstairs was the party room. There was a pool table, lots of board games, and a nice theater room (complete with two couches and a big screen tv). The middle floor was the boring place, with just the kitchen and a living room (although the kitchen was fun sometimes...food, you know). Upstairs was the lazy place. My brothers, Jake, and I all slept in one of the upstairs rooms which had a few bunk beds and a tv, which was monopolized by a Gamecube haha. Outside was cool, there were a couple of hills which were ok to sled down, but not much else. On Monday everybody went skiing, except for Camele and I, who decided to try snowboarding. It was definitely harder than skiing, I spent half of Monday on my butt lol. But I did manage to get the basics down. Tuesday was another ski day, except that only my parents, Tyler, and I went to the slopes. I was left behind on one of the green slopes to practice for most of the morning :( but I managed to almost keep up with everybody by the end of the day, so I think snowboarding isn't totally hopeless for me. Wednesday my cousins visited us from Denver (they moved there a little more than a year ago) and we spent most of the day outside. We had a huge snowball war....I don't think anyone has ever had more fun or been more miserable lol. By the end of it almost everybody was soaked through their coats and had snow inside of places you wouldn't think possible. I had a helmet of snow dumped down my neck near the end, and my shirt started forming ice on itself hahaha. Thursday was a good sit at home day, we only went outside for a little bit, but it wasn't nearly as good as the day before. Some of the time was spent playing Resident Evil 4 lol, while the rest was split between pool games and a movie. Dinner was really good, like it always is. Turkey and cranberries and stuffing and gravy and sweet potatoes and rolls and mashed potatoes...I'm getting kind of hungry just thinking about it. Friday was another sit around day, mostly with everybody putting off the thought of having to pack and leave. We did go shopping in the afternoon...I'm not completely sure why I went, all I got was a shirt. Then we left at 4 or so this morning, had one crazy long car ride, and here I am. *Yaaaaaawwnn it's getting kind of late, so I'm going to sleep. I hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving too!
