Having blinded six horses, the teen Alan Strang reveals an inner world that
forces Dr. Dysart to confront her own demons, as well as his.
Equus presents a rich character and psychological exploration Shaffer developed after reading of a real event in rural England. The vibrant world of ritual and passionate belief Alan reveals is only the beginning of the surprises and challenges in this award-winning masterpiece.
