Stolen motorcycle in Quincy

Nov 02, 2008 16:18

I hope it's okay to post this here, since it happened in Quincy. If not, let me know and I'll delete it, but I figured I would try on the off chance that it ends up in a chop shop near someone's house in Boston or other surrounding areas.

My husband's motorcycle was stolen last night from the sidewalk across the street from our driveway. He's been parking it there since he bought it almost 2 years ago and we've never had a problem before. He came home from work around 2 a.m. and it was still there. He left shortly thereafter in our car to go to Chinatown to meet some friends for a quick meal, and when he arrived home at 4 it was gone. One of the policemen who responded to our call told us that they had received a call earlier in the night about someone pushing a motorcycle up the street on Quincy Ave., which is not too far from us, but were not able to find the person. They're also not sure if it could be his bike because of the timing. We were told that several other bikes have been stolen this month.

I know it's a slim chance since it happened in the middle of the night, but if you live near Star Market in Quincy Center and happened to see anything please contact me. Or, if you see his bike sitting in someone's driveway or garage I'd really appreciate it if you could contact me. You can send me a PM through livejournal, or text me through the link in my profile. Or, report it to QPD at 617-479-1212.

It's a 2006 blue Yamaha FZ6. The plates on the bike are WZ5584, and there are two decals on either side of the bike, next to that circle with the star that you see in the picture. The decals are the Transformers symbols--Autobot on one side, and Decepticon on the other. The decals are blue and silver. They kind of look like the ones here, except the blue is more sparkly.

Thank you for any help you can give us.
