Hmm I could just see whens the last time I updated I think it was 3, 5, 9 months ago, maybe more I dont know. Who cares ?? But yea Im in LA now, whaaaaaattup. Its cool man I miss these people its all love. But I know inside that this isnt where Im supposed to be. I cant focus in LA. Bless those who can. Bless em !! Umm lets see Im working to stack cuz Im on this paper chase nah mean =) lol nah nah but I got a 9-6 at this self-storage doo-wop; I chill and look on craigslist and finalcall.com all day. Oh and every once in a while lease a storage unit. Commission whattup. Lol. Its a job, folks. Most of these people will retire here, and Im sure they all know I'll be up out soon. Ohhhhh moms moved to a house !! Go her.
Ive been reeeeeeeeally sticking to my yoga regimen. I go Sunday thru Saturday, occasionally missing a Thursday because I do my errands on Thursdays. I usually catch the 7:45 class, holler at the tea and apples, then hit the bookstore afterwards for a good read. Does it get any better ?? Im just sayin. Oh did I mention Im a vegetarian ?? Is anyone reading this !? Lolol
My working has for once in my life hindered me from my usual travels. Clearly I wont be here too long. Ive only made it to SF last week for a weekend for a NAACP Ca. State Conference (the first one that I actually cried at in one of our general sessions while listening to cases that we are currently working on in Riverside County, Ca.)which I completely lied about to my DM and said my car broke down. Come next month, Im all the way back in the air. Literally.
Future
The the day after Thanksgiving, I shall dip up out of the Southern California region as I do so well and embark on my next chapter which will be in either San Francisco, Ca. or back to Atlanta, Ga.
Atlanta, Ga. -----> Apprenticeship under M. Abernathy, steadicam extraordinaire.
San Francisco------> Take a couple classes introducing me to the foundation of cinematography; basic concepts.
It doesnt really matter which one I do; its really to stall time and be productive from now until October/November 2009 when my Steadicam workshop is; there are only 2 all-the-way-official workshops a year as I found out through talking to all the steadicam operators in the Steadicam Operators Association. The cost will be $3,000 & $4,000 but I'll do the $3,000 one next year and the $4,000 one the following year. Amen.

Knowledge.
On the daily I am constantly learning more about myself, others, and the world that we exist in. I took a turn on things and asked an employee at Borders to recommend me a book, so Im on a book about the World fair of Chicago circa 1832. Dont quote me on that. But thats entirely informational; not knowledge. But I digress. While Ive been out here, I realized that one of my closest friends who will remain unnamed, (knowin damn well yall dont know her anyway) is highly mis-educated. And its funny that everytime I tell her, she is so quick to note that she is college educated. Educated, sure. Mis-Educated, hell yea. Its kinda disappointing. There is a very high focus on education of our people and the masses, but not enough emphasis on the importance of having the ability to unlearn. I do see a trend, albeit a questionable one, of the young guns yearning for a sense of consciousness. The thing is, you cant umm grow in yourself if you are using someone else's idea of "truth" or "the way" for measure; you will never, ever, reach your full potential.
