Reviews!
i had a fun time reading twilight. its differs a bit and much much much more words are devoted to describing how achingly beautiful edward is - which i am glad that the movie didnt overdo. hahah... but its an entertaining book! finished it in a jiffy cos basically i couldnt wait to know what happened. i resolve to then wait for the next twilight movie to come out - New Moon - next December 2009 before reading it because somehow it feels nicer to read the book AFTER you watch the movie. so that i wont feel disappointed with the adaptation. like how i feel with harry potter.
but of course its not the same with Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson brought the WHOLE tome to LIFE!

but yes, its a good read nevertheless. recommended.

the curious incident is however a somewhat a little bit of a challenge. it doesnt flow like a normal fiction book does. its a story of an autistic boy and his "adventures" after a murder of his neighbour's dog. i liked it that it read like somewhat of a personal diary and you were given a chance to know how an autistic person thinks and acts. its quite an endearing character and you end up rooting for him. its got drawings and mathematical equations littered in between pages too. its also brutally honest.

so its been a good reading weekend. something ive not done for a long time ever since i started school. found that reading also draws me away from my laptop and the tv. haha.. which is not a bad thing cos ive been watching the screen for waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long these few months.

on a side note! fantastic four peeps! ive used ur vouchers on language cds! Japanese and Thai. haha! and my Mandarin one is still fantastically brand new.
