Registering for classes = traumatic

Apr 28, 2010 07:01

I woke up at 5:30am this morning and plopped myself in front of my computer to register for classes. Of course registration didn't open till 6:00am but I kept refreshing the page hoping for a glitch that allowed me to register early.

That did not happen.

When 6:00am rolled around, the website was slowed down by the sheer number of 1L students logging on, trying to get their classes before everyone else. I had a small panic attack waiting for the website to load and cursed all my fellow students for logging on at the same time as me.

Registration = vicious.

I got four out of five classes that I wanted in the first go. I had to wait-list Law and Literature because there were only 20 spaces and they were all filled. (Darn upperclassmen!) I was clicking around, trying to find another course to add when I saw that suddenly I was allowed to register for Law and Literature. I don't know why I was allowed to register since it was still marked Closed but I didn't question it and immediately added it.

Now I have all the classes I wanted and planned for. Who could be so lucky? One of my friends couldn't get two of the classes she wanted; so disappointing!

I am currently so hyped up on adrenaline from the registering process that I'm not sure if I can go back to sleep. I think I'm going to go have breakfast instead.
