quick passing thought...
Just had a small tornado of thoughts in my mind...just now, on the way out. Since English is a simpler, more succinct language, I will use it to write the thought down, before it flees from me...
It is important in life to have things worth dying for AND living for....
Here is America, people do not have anything they would be willing to die for. We hear of people dying somewhere in far off lands for freedom, for way of life, for.... But these are just words, symbols. They are not a mentality, just individual brevity and doing one's job... There is nothing but fear... When you have nothing to die for, nothing that stands above all else, the meaning of life is reduced to survival...to essential functions peppered here and there with entertainment. This cannot be all there is...
And elsewhere, half a world away, people have nothing to live for...and everything to die for. And they do. They are born to die...and therein the meaning end...that also cannot be all there is... I heard someone say that there will be peice in the Middle East when Arabs will come to love their own children more than they hate the Jews...when they have something to live for, and not just something to die for.
