The Solstice and stuff

Dec 21, 2010 15:45

I woke up late last night to watch the lunar eclipse...but the damned clouds only afforded a small glimpse of it. Bummer. It was neat though to think that we were looking at an something that hadn't been seen since the 1600's.

Happy Solstice. I find this day the least offensive of all the "holidays" during this month, as it is actually a real day/event, and at least the people who celebrated it were mainly just celebrated to survive thelongest night of the year.

and my brain is so fried that I've told my family all month we would be driving down to florida and would meet them on X-mas eve. and I've been panicking all week since I have to work on Wens and thought we would have to leave after work to head down to florida. I completely forgot that I have thursday off, and thursday is not X-mas eve. So we will be there a day early. I suppose it'll be a fun surprise?

Sigh.
