This isn't part of the affection levels or Flynn's personal journal ... it's some background info about Flynn and I who plays him in Atlas.
Name: Hikaru Irving
Contact: hikaru_irving@yahoo.com, Hikaru-Irving (on DeviantArt), Hikaru Irving on Fanfiction.Net.
Character's Name: Flynn Scifo
Character's Age: 21
Character's Class: Magic Knight
Pulled From: During Vespria's ending, while his bohdi blastia joined the Vesperia No. 1's onslaught against the Adephagos, standing at Nor/Torim Harbor.
Biography: Flynn was born a commoner in the Empire capital City, Zaphias's lower quarter where residents generally have a hard life. He vowed with Yuri to join the Imperial Knights to get into the Empire's system and amend it from the inside. He has a strong sense of justice and believes adamantly that just laws should be laid and upheld, corrupt laws should be changed, but not broken.
Roleplay Sample: I blink once, twice, thrice, trying to gain my bearings. I'm confused; the last thing I saw was a great flash of blinding white light from the barrier blastia of the harbor, after the essence of my bohdi blastia, its core, joined the core of the barrier's. It was that networking system that my subordinate, Witcher, helped Rita Mordio create to convert the apatheia fragments--blastia cores--into spirits and thus convert the warped and twisted aer of the Adephagos in the skies into mana. I smell no salty air, hear no ocean lapping upon the docks. It's not even nighttime anymore.
Instead of the cobblestone streets and the brick buildings of the harbor, I see an endless expanse of blue sky. It takes a moment to register that I'm not standing; I'm lying down, flat on my back in a field of grass. I sit up, casting my sapphire blue eyes around to better see just where it is I am. Something most marvelous catches my eye. For a moment I believe I'm in Halure, the City of Blossoms--where else in Terca Lumereis do you find trees so unbelivably enormous, the thick boughs stretching to the heavens above, the gnarled roots so deep in the earth it's impossible to dislodge it? But a crucial detail makes me doubt that I am in Halure. On the great branches of this tree, there are only leaves, no reddish-pink flower blossoms whatsoever. The rings of light that marked the presence of the barrier were gone, too, although I'm not sure if that's just an effect of changing all the blastia cores to mana. Rita had said that Estellise made an elemental spirit in Halure's tree, and it still had its barrier thereafter. I heave a sigh, staring at the great tree so like but unlike Halure's, and my brows knit together.
Where am I ... ? I begin moving forward in the expanse of meadow under the wings of the giant tree, seeking a person, a settlement, a city--anything that would give me clues to my whereabouts.
More on Personality: Flynn's a really nice guy but can be competetive and reckless when he wants to, in his own ways. EX. He and Yuri as kids always competed in everything, swords, racing, etc. And every time he beat Yuri, he has the nerve (according to Yuri) to ask, "Yuri, are you all right?" afterwards. For being reckless, it's only when his loved ones are in the most danger that he's at the point of putting himself in danger. He's a stickler for the rules and scolds people (namely Yuri) who break them and the reprecussions of doing so. He's also an idealist and works tirelessly to realize them, mostly of helping people in need. Flynn also has a knack for appearing where there's trouble, as he did when Yuri & Co were in danger of drowning at sea.
More on History: Flynn advances quickly in the Imperial Knights, from cadet fresh from the academy to lieutenant, to Captain (with his own brigade, men, subordinates, his second-in-command being a lady Knight named Sodia, and a diminutive mage named Witcher), and finally to Commandant of the entire army. However, his promotion to Commandant is not entirely on his own--it was the original Commandant, Alexei, who left the Empire and formed a rebel faction, and the respective death and absence of captains Cumore and Schwann that led to Flynn's becoming "acting Commandant." Also, half or more of his accomplishments are actually Yuri's (i.e. the aque blastia core from the lower quarter, stolen by a thug, is retrieved by Yuri but Flynn gets the credit). Flynn is uncomfortable getting the credit from others' achievments, and insists that any accomplishment that is completed, the credit absolutely must go to the person who actually did the work.
