So I have returned home. Woo-hoo. Vacation was fun. I always love the beach and having Aunt Susie with us was very nice. We've already started talking about plans for next summer. I'll be at Susie's place in Florida for June and July, working at the nursing-care facility she owns. It'll be a nice change from this generally crap-tastic summer.
So I've been slowly gathering my things together for school, and of course this is when my cell phone decides to become all screwy. So Mom and I went out yesterday to the Verizon center, and they weren't much help. We ordered a battery, which MIGHT be a problem, but we don't know that yet. Oy. On the plus side I got NEW BOOTS! They're black and suede and go up to mid-calf. Boots make me happy.
So other than packing, I don't have much to do before school again. Just a brief doctor visit tomorrow morning and a haircut on Saturday. For once I'm glad to get the annual August-cut, because my hair has been bugging me. I think I'll chop off four inches. Not that anyone else will notice, because they seem to define "short" as "earlobe-length", but it's a big deal for me.
I'll be so glad to go back to college. My dad hasn't been himself lately and it's been a major pain for my mom and I. She keeps saying that it's just the meds that he's on, but I find it hard to believe. My dad has always been a generally easygoing, nice, happy guy. Now he's pushy, demanding, and gets bent out of shape over the smallest things. I'm very tired of dealing with it.
