The Adventures of Shovelhead and Ruggy
Hmmm, guess it is time for an update.
So last week things were crap for me. I was quite depressed for the whole week. Then on Friday my mom and I had a talk and I think that really helped things. She seems far more well-adjusted and we're getting along again. I think she just needed a chance to say how she was feeling.
So good things happened! Whee!
~I finally got my check from the job-that-will-not-be-named and got three hundred dollars to deposit in my account. Hey, it's more than I made last summer.
~Ashley and I had a grand adventure on Wednesday involving, among other things, lunch at Out of Asia, Harry Potter movies, a trip to Salem for manga and getting rained upon, and educating ourselves about badgers. Remember: badgers are the self-loathing Jews of the animal kingdom.
~My mom and I went out shopping for various gifts for people (Father's Day, birthdays, etc.) and I actually had fun. Very good.
~On Saturday I saw my Aimee for the first time since leaving St. As! YAY! We sang Reefer Madness in the car and I gave her the grand tour of Revere, which led to amusing comments.
Aimee on Revere youth: "Wow! That chick is wicked pregnant!"
Mom kept mentioning the possibility of the family going to New York for a weekend and seeing a show, until she looked at ticket prices for things. I MUST find some way to convince her to go as I MUST see Sweeney Todd or I will explode.
