I haven't had a paid account for nearly six months. I just went through and manually deleted nine years' worth of userpics, because otherwise they would have automatically deleted all but six, and I wouldn't have got to choose which ones to keep.
(I saved all the ones I took off here, obviously - I'm not stupid. But nine years' worth of posts and comments will no longer have the icon I was in the mood to use at the time.)
It's the first time I've ever not renewed the paid account since originally getting it. But - and no disrespect to the few remaining friends who do still post on here, and who I do still check in and read from time to time - it's really just a waste of money, now.
LJ is one of those relationships you know ended a long time ago, that you know if you tried to resurrect it it wouldn't be the same, but what you want to do is bring back exactly how it was years ago.
I doubt this will be my last ever post on here, but I don't know when the next one will be.
