Balticon
Well, I thought I'd write down my Balticon ( www.balticon.org ) experience for you. Ok, for me really, but you can read it too. :)
Tried to get there early, left at 3pm, got stuck in traffic... got there at 5! Took me 15 mins to move a block in Balti... when I got to the hotel I was so sick of traffic that I had my car VALET PARKED. It was expensive, but I didn't care.
I changed into Speed Racer costume. And I went to a panel on getting your book published cause thats where T was going. Even tho I have a book published. But, I met some cool authors there and it ended up turning into some contacts for me. I may get an agent so I can publish a 2nd book.
I offered to buy this lady's book if she got the illustrator to give me a kiss. The illustrator's girlfriend (yes, that's right) objected.
Greg, Punkie, and I were bored so we commandeered a table and set up a sign "Misinformation - $1" We actually made $2.75.. and we told lots of random misinformation as well for free.
I got paid a dollar the next day because someone wanted misinformation.
I probably watched more anime at this con that I do at anime cons. :) I saw a Slayers movie, like Slayers Returns or something and it was really funny.
I hung out with Kris and Greg a lot.
I made friends in the dealer's room with some vendors, and bought 2 books from authors at the con. Let's hope they are good.
I party hopped on Sunday night and got semi drunk. Later I was throwing chocolates at people. I got one in this guy's mouth.
I saw this girl Mandy there... we kinda flirted at a previous con... but she found like two guys to kiss on in the span of 3 days. Whoa. Well, that pretty much takes her off my list. :)
Oh hell, I became busy. I'll finish this later. Maybe.
