Two weeks til Fede comes! Yay! It's going by so fast. I've been going through a Clash of Kings (2nd book in A Song of Ice and Fire series) fairly quickly for me, and I'm liking it even better than a Game of Thrones. I've been baking and knitting like mad. I also finished watching Veronica Mars, which was so awesome. If you haven't seen it and are looking for a tv series to get into, I highly recommend it!
I've been thinking I want to rewatch Serial Experiments: Lain. I don't think I've seen it since high school, despite having the dvds and it being great and pretty short.
I got news from Israel that another one of the foundations I applied to for my internship gave one of our non-profits $5,000, so I'm pretty happy! My old boss said that it's rare for an intern to get them any money, let alone $10,000. As selfish-sounding as it is, it's nice to know that despite all the horrible news between Gaza and Israel (and Arabs and Jews in the area), that I was able to help keep a summer camp that joins these groups together for peace in progress. Kids on both sides are typically raised in an environment where they are taught that an Arab or a Jew is an enemy, not a person. There needs to be more done to force these groups together in a peaceful, equal setting where they can interact and see that they aren't so different after all.
