(no subject)
Feeling really weird/good this morning!
I got up at 5:45, left at 6:20, got coffee at It's a Grind. I was so happy to see Julie still working there; I haven't recognized anyone else there since it's been so long. She remembered me and that I like everything bagels, so I got one even though I wasn't that hungry and I'm trying to keep losing weight (the scales tell me I've lost ten pounds, but it doesn't feel like it. Still, I feel good). I remember, I went there for something to drink after visiting my dad in the hospital a few years ago, and she saw my visitor's tag and said she had been to the hospital earlier that day and we talked. It was like a moment, at least for me.
I drove through the freeways, through Malibu Canyon Road, then the Pacific Coast Highway, and finally Sunset with minimal traffic. I got to work early, at 7:40, so I walked around where my boss lives and took some pictures with my new phone! I'll try to upload them after work. It was just a gorgeous drive, with the sun rising... OVER THE WATER. Which is WEST. Right? I know at UCSB the ocean was south, but here? It should be west. Not east. I'm so confused.
There was little construction north of my boss' house, so I listened to some Emiliana (WHO IS FINALLY COMING BACK TO THE STATES SO I CAN FINALLY SEE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy... she's playing the Troubadour which Lisa Hannigan is also playing next month!!!! YES best two months ever.) Anyway, I also heard some birds, which was lovely.
I'm happy, I like being happy. I think I will try to get out more, talk more with people. At least once a week! I need to not be so shut-in. And I should get down to work, which will bring me down. fofooofooooofooooooo
