Culture shock
Despite the fact that I've been in Germany about a total of a year over the summers and some winter time, I'm finally experiencing culture shock. Things don't always translate perfectly, and I'm realizing when contexts are wrong and having to develop whole new concepts in my mind for things. People act differently in ways I hadn't noticed before. People don't smile here as easily. People react well to my exaggerated expressions so that'll make me completely overly expressive by the end of this :P
On the other hand, I apparently know a ton of 'disco fox' dance moves and will be cutting up the dance floor. Next month all the Kirmeses and town festivals will be starting so there will be more beer, people and dancing to soften the "oh shit, I really could fit everything I own into the back of a VW Bug and all of my friends live a 16 hour flight away".
