Is using "the dog" for Hemmy as bad as using "the [insert descriptor]" for an actual person? You know what I mean. "The bassist" is Pete; "the vegan" is Andy; "the Jew" is Joe; "the fabulous, secret saviour of humanity" is Patrick. Etc. "The other man"-itis is what I'm talking about. Can I use it for--the dog?

I hope everybody had a swell week. I'm very excited because Patrick will be on my television almost exactly a week from now (Marty Dressler Lives!). I'm not so excited because I have to work tomorrow. And because slightly less than exactly a week from now I will have given my notice at work.
WHATEVER I got a bag full of argyle socks for Christmas and so all is well with the world (Dumbledore agrees. And is also gay).
