I'm not responding to
this post. I mean, I'm pretty meh on most of her points, so, you know, I'd be totally happy to just ignore the whole thing, but her third point is titled "If this were a clubhouse I'd have a No Boys Allowed sign on the door," and ends with:
"I don't love guys, any guys, coming in and pointing and mocking our community, our creativity, and by inference, our sexuality and sexual preferences, not even when those guys are cute and play good music. No boys allowed."
No boys allowed.
Through my regular journal, I was recently involved in a really pointless and head vs. brick wall-ish (on both sides, I will not lie) discussion with someone in broader fandom on exactly this topic, and I'm just kind of done with it right now. So I'm not responding. I'm just pointing it out. I'm just pointing and making the madsadbad face (and, apparently, being entirely fucking invisible).
Along with my "nobody knows I'm a guy" and "will sing for cock" shirts, I obviously need one that says "NOT ALLOWED IN FANDOM."
