I made TAI icons! Only three. They are
here, down at the bottom. I especially like this one. Umlauts are not for sissies!
Tomorrow I am going to see
Matthew Good at a pretty sweet venue. It's all seated, but that's okay 'cause it's a solo, mostly acoustic show. I AM EXCITED. /ryanross
Anyway. "Me & You"--I hate this song. I really, really do. But the video is good enough to distract me from that, most of the time. I like the cinematic feel, and I like the colours a lot. I like how Patrick is all sweaty and Pete is barely there. I even like how the kids are incredibly androgynous. I am, however, of two minds about the actual content, and really not eloquent enough to describe them on the internets (except to say: in addition to my weird Queer Magnetness, where everything I randomly watch/read is in some way queer, I also have a Thing about post-colonial African stuff. It's hard, and strange 'cause I'm a functionally white person from Western Canada. So yeah. Not eloquent).
Lastly, yesterday I bought tickets to see
She's A Boy I Knew at the
film festival. It's a homemade autobiographical documentary about/by Gwen Haworth, who is a transwoman, and incredibly hot. HOT TRANSWOMAN ARTIST NAMED GWEN. Bandom, it is everywhere, even places it really should not be.
