So, my mom comes into my room this morning as I'm waking up and says "you want to hear some good news?" Whatever I was expecting her to say, it wasn't that former Serbian politician and wanted war criminal Radovan Karadžić had been arrested. My mom was highly involved in protests surrounding Bosnia in the 90s, and has been waiting for this guy to get arrested and go to trial for 15 years. Milosevic, the President of Serbia who was the architect of most of the horrible things that happened in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo, died in the middle of his trial and so never got actually convited. The third main guy, Mladic, is still out there somewhere.
I had to look up all of those names to figure out how to spell them. I had mostly forgot that all of these people existed.
