Passed away peacefully on October 27, 2005 at 74 years. Born 12-30-30 to parents Ralph Grass and Mattie Mullenix in Doris, CA. He served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War. Graduated from CSUS. He worked for EDD until retirement. He managed several offices including Auburn, Placerville and Interstate. His great loves were family, friends, coast, traveling and hosting with Friendship Force, fishing, bridge, and sports. He just celebrated his 50th Anniversary with his wife, Marlene. He has 3 sons; Douglas and wife Nancy, Steven and wife Diana, and David and partner David Howe. He is survived by 5 grandchildren; Jason Grass and wife Jennifer, Jaman Anttila and Jessica James, Jonathan Grass, Julie Grass, and Jeffery Grass. He also has 5 great-grandchildren. Jim had many friends and will be missed by all. Reception to be held Saturday, October 29, at his home from 1pm to 4pm. Family, neighbors, friends are welcome.
