Crazy busy lately

So here I am, taking a few moments to write. It has been so long. I've been so busy. I have completed all my philosophy course requirements and now all I have left is one justice studies seminar. And for the fun of it, I'm taking a class on Canadian Politics. I like it. I know the professor, having been in several of her classes, so I feel comfortable.

Besides course work, I have future plans to work on. I decided to go to graduate school, after I take a year off from school. I need a break. In the meantime, I'm going to prepare for the GRE and see what kind of job I can find. It's going to be tough, but I got to try. I would go crazy if I had nothing to do for that year, besides search for jobs and stay at home waiting to hear a response from people about whether I got it or not. I want to see if I can teach an ESL class or maybe help my old Spanish teacher with grading and stuff, over at the high school that I went to. I'm thinking of getting my master's in Linguistics. I think I could get in the program, but I want a full scholarship. So, it's important that I have some experience working with language, aside from scoring high on the GRE. I feel the pressure keenly, because I have not scored really good on standardized tests in the past. It's really important that this time, I do well. I'm weak with math, so I will definitely have to work my butt off to get at least a 70% on the math. I hope to get the full score for the verbal. English is one of my strengths.

The other two programs I'm thinking about are Political Science and Justice Studies. For all of them, I am aiming for the assistanceships - work 20 hours a week, a stipend, and a full tuition waiver. Wish me luck with the GRE prep and getting some work soon.

Later.
