It looks a little different since last I came. Sorry I've been away for awhile. I've been occupied with my new blog. I've got over 1,000 hits and I've gotten some great comments. It's interesting that on here, most of my friends are girls. Over there, all my friends are guys. What a contrast, eh?
School is going well. I had my first test in my research methods class, Justice 501. Lawyers have to do research too. Research methods is typically what Psychology and Sociology majors take at my school. I have to write a research report in APA. I need to figure out how I can add to the "scholarship" of juvenile delinquency studies.
I'm liking my philosophy class on Ancient Greek philosophy. I'm reading Plato's The trial and death of Socrates. It's an interesting class. I got a paper due in three weeks. I'm going to answer a difficult question.
I'm also taking a computer applications class.After this, I'll need to take 2 more science courses. The teacher is nice. He has a southern accent, maybe Texan. He kind of reminds me of Dick Cheney, the eyes and the wide build. But he loves talking and when he talks, he looks a lot more pleasant than Cheney.
My last class is called intro to critical analysis. It's an advanced English class. Oh, I got a paper due in that class too. This semester is definitely speeding up a lot quicker than last year. On top of that, I plan to see if I can enroll in this program where I'll read to an 8 or 9 year old for 2 hours each day, 2 days a week. I'm hoping to volunteer at the newspaper or magazine, but I'm not sure. Meetings tend to be in the evenings and I don't know if I have time. We'll see. I'll attend a training session on Tuesday.
