So um.... yeah...
This is what happend in the past week...s
First, I noticed my DVD ROM doesn't work anymore, like, after putting CD in, it's not even loading. -> assumed dead DVD ROM
Then, when I touched my power cord, it got disconnected and reconnected instantly, repeatingly. -> assumed plug in laptop went loose
So... I ordered a new power cord, secretly hope it's not something wrong with the laptop.
The cord came, and good new was brought. It's not something wrong with the machine, but the accessory.
Then, for some reason, I checked my hardware driver section in the XP partition... IDE primary drive, driver damaged or incompleted.
Yay, another problem fixed. So I installed Starcraft 2 with no problem
Then... After 2 days of playing, my graphic card was fried.
I put my laptop to sleep in the afternoon, then at night after work, I opened the lid, the screen didn't wake up. So I forced shutdown. After trying to power up, it gave me BEEP~~ BEEP BEEP.
Several times, same result.
The next day, I search for the beep code, said there's something wrong with the screen, either LCD or graphic card.
I connected it to an external monitor, same result.
so I assumed it was the graphic card, and since I heard SC2 did fry several other ppl's graphic card... wasn't really surprised.
And, I just noticed the warrenty will be expired in 8/14, I felt I didn't need to worry about spending money on new one
('cause I thought it's already expired.)
anyway, I called the help desk in Lenovo, and they sent me a box today.
Probably and hopefully I'll get Nana back, alive.
Oh yeah, about Starcraft 2, I searched the forum, and found out many ppl had the same problem, fried graphic cards, most of them NVIDIA, some ATI
Some players found out that, in the Menu screen, the FPS was up to 500 (seriously)
Blizzard... great job.
