thot i would post. not that i have anything terribly exciting to say, just that i'm incredibly exhausted and sore. Sunday we spent 7 hours (yes, that was a number 7, after the 6, slightly before the 8) shopping at Home Depot, Lowes and OSH. three of those hours were at Home Depot alone. we ended the day, not because we were done, but because if i had to walk anymore i would have fallen down and refused to move from the store floor. ouch.
we bought quite a bit, then went out today and did some more. we went to a furniture store. it was next to Costco and Costco was closed so we went looking and... of course we bought stuff! do you not read me?!? they (like every other store) were having a Memorial Day sale and we found a perfect chair for Bub for less than half the price we thot we would have to pay. we also bought a mattress set, ours is crap and has been for awhile now. also, they will hold it until we move then they will deliver and set it up for us. win!
Home Depot felt a little like returning to the scene of a crime. we had spent so much there yesterday, money and time, but there were things we passed up on the chance of finding them for less elsewhere. so we got a washer and dryer (they also will hold them until we need them delivered, double win!) and some other odds and ends.
the big stuff we still need will just have to wait until we are actually done with closing costs and such and have the keys in hand. everything we bought fits, more or less, in a large bucket (64 gallon) on the table in the corner of the room. except for the tile, bag of grout, adhesive, caulking, moisture barrier, and other goopy stuff for doing the tile in the master bathroom. those i left in the car. too heavy and too bulky for the house (and yet, you say, the tile saw isn't?). ok. done for now and just waiting anxiously and impatiently for Thursday, and really really hoping i don't have to take time off work to go sign papers. i'm really running out of time to take off and my supervisor gets into a tizzy when my time starts getting low ("you do know don't you that your time is getting low? that's not very responsible you know.")
