I was thinking about New Years resolutions and how I don't ever make any, cause the time to change something in your life is when you realize it needs changing, and I then promptly made one.
I resolve to (continue to) clean my house out of all the accumulated junk that's all over the place. I like nik-nacs, but I have boxes of them I don't use and don't really like. I still have some of Bub's stuff I have to give back to him. I have clothes the kids might fit into someday and some they have outgrown. I have old furniture and old things I will never use in my everyday dealings. I have holiday decorations, some of which are broken and mis-matched. I have things that are not in their proper place, and only those who really really know me know how much that bugs me.
My house is not tidy, neat and orderly. I am not a 50s housewife. I do, however, have a place for everything and cleaning means putting everything in its place. The past few years have been an upheaval, mostly resulting in good things, shaking up things that needed shaking up. But that did mean that a lot of chores and things went by the wayside while I figured some things out. It's time now to put things back in order and keep up with my life.
