GM came over last night to take a look at the house and give me the reimbursement check for work I'd already done. She had never seen the house before so it took a couple hours, checking what was wrong and deciding what to do and drawing up the lease. She decided (and I think it's an awfully good idea) that she's going to find a contractor to take care of stuff for the house. It looks like there might be more damage than I thought at first. Someone needs to come in to see if there is water damage/dry rot on the foundation. The tile that oldwolf almost twisted his ankle on, when I lifted it up, was from dry rot in the wood foundation under all the tile and plaster mix. =(
I can still do the work I want to, to improve what I like, as long as I let GM know first and about how much it will cost. She will reimburse me afterwards. I'd still like to get the floors done and I already have the fans to install for the green room and the kitchen. They just need to be done. There are so many little things but it's a great load off my mind that she will take over the big jobs. The bathroom and the roof are just ending up too big for me to handle. Plus, if there is interior damage, I'm just not prepared to deal with that.
Anyway, I'm happy, she's happy, we're all happy. About the house anyway. Saru and I had a fight and he's staying away from the house as much as he can. We currently have a difference of opinion on what and how to implement his responsibilities and also concerns on his behavior now that he's 18. I'm sure I'm being a bitch about the whole thing, but I think that may just be necessary.
Decided I'm not going to camp Ducal. I remember last year and I'm really only going for the garage sale anyway. I'd be camping by myself since zdude63 is going to be at Pacificon selling his wares. And it looks like diluvian, who was supposed to come and hang out with me on Saturday, won't be able to make it so I think instead of spending the whole time by myself with nothing to do I'm going to daytrip Ducal and run down Saturday night to Pacificon.
