(no subject)
This weekend I didn't get anything done again. I had wanted to take family pictures but didn't have enough out of this paycheck. Probably one of those things I'll do with the tax return, if there's enough. We were going to clean the carport of the garbage and stuff that has acumulated.
That didn't get done either, but at least the main part of the problem was dealt with; a guy came by and offered to take it. He runs a junk pick-up service and said he would do this first load for free. That got rid of the old orange chair (which I loved and it heart hurts me to get rid of but it was filthy and broken and could not be fixed for anything) and the old washer and a couple bags of misc junk. All that's there now is recyclables (which MUST be taken in) and the landscape rocks I don't know what to do with and some scrap cardboard that should have been thrown out ages ago. Once that's done I can park the car under the carport and not have to worry about scraping the ice off the windows like I did this morning.
I did, however, enjoy this weekend. I spent time sleeping in and staying awake until all hours and watching tv on the computer and catching up with Live Journal posts. We've been watching Dexter but after some of the fic I was reading, I got a taste to keep watching Supernatural. I'm only half way thru the first season but it's starting to get interesting now. I've not watched it before so Awesome downloaded all the eps so I could catch up. I love the fic and it's about time I understand the references I've been reading.
So I didn't mind the Monday. I'm trying not to take any time off so I can take a week or more in the summer. Don't know if we'll make it to Portland or not, but other things are (supposed to be) happening this summer. Wish me luck.
