This weekend was wonderful. We camped right next to the Baron and Baroness. We found out there are simple pavilion patterns available for the Googleage, and a rope bed or slat bed only costs about 50$ in supplies and there are also patterns available if you look them up.
The wife of the guy who is always at archery practice gave me some garb. And I bought a nice, thick belt for Awesome so he gave me his to wear. His was thin, like I was looking for; he needed something bigger. It all works out.
Half Moon Bay was terribly windy and cold when we got there on Sunday. We put up the tent with difficulty and ended up going to bed by 7pm just to get out of the wind. Despite all my protestations that I wouldn't be trying to swim, I did go chasing the surf and got my jeans wet all the way up. Good thing I had two pair. Stupid of me not to take a sweater, tho I did have a thin hoody and of course we had our cloaks.
The wind died down just so the fog could come in by morning. We were in a little bit of clear with the fog all around and it was really nice. We left before checkout and were home by about noon. All in all, a satisfying weekend. We didn't want to come home, even to the dear dry and dusty Valley.
We came home to the cable being shut off and it won't be back until I pay them on Friday (payday). Today I woke up in a foul mood and the day just seemed to justify it. At least it will be a short week.
