we showed up to work today to find that our main phone line says it is disconnected. yay! umm.. i mean, darn it. so i'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs until SO calls in with an emergency call or some paperwork shows up. at least i get to leave early today.

i have a dr appt at noon (they're rescheduled 3x). just a regular check up, but i need her to do something with my ear and i have to report that the pain in my hand and legs continues - the meds keep it in check but don't get rid of it. =/ dancing helps, and moving around, so it's probably something that will go away (hope, hope) or lessen as i lose more weight. i've been fitting into clothes i haven't been able to wear in years. yay! it's not like i'm particularly svelte or anything - i probably wouldn't be even at my ideal weight. when i was young and in shape, i still looked like an Amazon. i just want to look nice in my clothes. i have a grand plan to get down to a nice weight (forget the number my doc wants me at - haven't been there since i was 12) and then i'm going to order expensive clothes from pyramidcollection dot com and walk around and have people tell me how smashing i look and and and... hehe but i'm getting ahead of myself. it's something to look forward to.

dancing was fun last night. we learned a couple turns that look really fancy but are actually pretty simple. i'm getting better at giving up the lead and completely putting my(dancing)self into my partners hands (as it were). the one guy i have ended up with the last few classes is about a foot shorter than me and i really have to learn not to make my steps so wide. i find that the one problem with the guys in the class is that they need to learn to be more... forceful isn't quite the word, but i can't think of a better one. firm, maybe? anyway, they need to learn to lead in a definite manner and keep their arms and upper bodies firm so we know what steps they want from us next. one of the turns last night was one of those that really needed a firm control of the body - we step and they pull us in hip to hip and swing around and then into a turn. it's done very fast and makes me laugh every time. it's so fun, and i'm having a great time. i only have two more classes to go, and i need to figure out if i want to go on to the next class or do a kick-boxing or Tai Chi class. Ray says he will sign up with me if i do the Tai Chi class at Kaiser, but i need to find out when that's going on.

weirds dreams continue. last night was kinda blurry but it had something to do with the baby getting hernia surgery. i'm gonna keep a log here, maybe some pattern will show up; plus, it's kinda fun in a my-brain-needs-drugs kinda way.

ETA: phone issue solved. humph.

dreaming, work, health:doctor visit, friend:ray, dancing
