Fun in the Snow
The kids have never seen snow before so Bub and I decided that since we dont have his kids this weekend, we would take the rest of the kids up and find some. we got directions from someone and so off we went. last night we told the kids to eat breakfast as soon as they got up in the morning instead of watching cartoons first. in the morning we told them to pack an extra change of clothes and packed a picnic lunch and loaded them up into the car. we never told them where we were going. we followed the direction and were hoping desperately to find snow by the time we got there. we hit the 3000 mi mark and still didnt see any snow, so we were feeling a little anxious. got about 500 ft from big trees signs and started seeing snow. yay!!
so the girls got to play a little in the snow, tho there wasnt enough for them to use the toboggan and i thot it was too icy. we had a picnic and some hot chocolate in the warming hut and then we went home. good times were had by all.
Xmen iii for movie night. never seen it, pretty good, but i think i need to watch them all in a row and not remember what really happened. the movie is good, even if its not the real story at all. makes me want to go back and read them all, tho. it occurs to me that these movies are not meant for the public at large. the storyline doesnt gel well at all in spots, and some thing are just taken for granted and not explained at all.
